The sailing ship Ariadne was a merchant ship that brought thousands of immigrants to the Maryborough and Hervey Bay region. This sculpture once resided on the sea wall Urangan in Hervey Bay, but since this photo was taken it has been removed to allow for improvement to the sea defences.
